Experience

Yasser was called to the Bar in 2011. Prior to commencing pupillage, he gained considerable experience working as a fee-earner in a leading solicitors firm where he managed a large litigation team which gave him valuable experience which assists him at the Bar. Due to his experience of working at a solicitor's firm, he understands the pressures and difficulties solicitors face when conducting litigation.

He is experienced in dealing with all types of cases from simple small claims trials to complex multi-track cases.

His practice has recently been focused on credit hire cases and is regularly instructed for trials by both claimants and defendants. He has considerable experience and expertise in cases involving taxi credit hire and is highly sought after in these types of cases. He is the preferred choice as counsel for many firms where the case involves credit hire.

He has a balanced practice and is instructed by both claimants and defendants for matters ranging from stage 3 hearings, disposals, CCMC's to trials.

He also offers a swift turnaround in respect of all paperwork particularly advice on quantum for infants.

Yasser is happy to discuss cases and advice solicitors on an informal basis without the need for formal instructions.

As well as his civil practice, Yasser is also happy to work in other areas such as criminal, immigration and family law.

He is qualified to accept instructions from members of the public under the Direct Public Access scheme.

Yasser is fluent in both Punjabi and Urdu.

Interests:
Outside of the law, Yasser has a keen interest in politics and is an elected councillor having first been elected at the age of 23. He was also elected the mayor of his town becoming one of the youngest mayors in the country during his term.

He is also a keen charity worker and is open to accept instructions on a pro-bono basis for deserving cases.
