Joannah Webster comes to the Bar the ‘long way round' having enjoyed a successful career as an Accident & Emergency Nursing Sister for ten years, and as a nurse for fifteen years. In conjunction to her career as a Nursing Sister Joannah successfully completed her Common Professional Exams with Commendation, her LLM in Medical Law and Ethics with Merit and was awarded a Very Competent in her BVC.
Joannah is developing a regulatory practice and is ideally suited to represent healthcare professionals at Fitness to Practice Tribunals. In addition during pupillage Joannah benefited from the guidance of Christopher Perry who has extensive experience in Coronial Law. Joannah has a special interest in inquest work, in particular where Trusts are facing a potential finding of Neglect secondary to systemic failures within the organisation.
Joannah has gained substantial experience in personal injury matters relating to road traffic accidents, Occupier's liability, Employers liability and actions against Highways Authorities, in addition to advising on credit hire litigation.
Interests Outside of Law:
In her spare time Joannah enjoys spending time with her family in North Wales which is an ideal place to relax, and has inspired her passion for creative writing. Joannah has already finished her debut novel and has a second storyline simmering in the background!
